don't worry man take your time, cause in that time you'll be able to do so much more, ignore the impatient fan's they may act and say mean things but their just excited for the next update, i have faith in you, still one of my favorite vis-nov games.
Oh lookie. Stencilbits lost another one of his butt plugs. Here to tell us all about how he's hard at work on this game non stop and how it's still coming soon next month and to keep waiting on it despite the fact it's been languishing as 'mostly ready' for the past 4 years.
So has stencilbits officially and finally went blind yet? I haven't bothered to read the last few months worth of garbage on his Patreon. I'd like to preserve brain cells if possible.
He is still posting about it, but if the past is any indication it'll be a 4+ year long journey he continues to post about all while petending to be working on this game.
I don’t really understand the situation on what’s happening with the dev, but it seems like that the dev is being hated a lot based on the comments I have come across, and I have just played this game not long ago, though it seems like that the game haven’t updated in more than a years now, despite that I would like to say that the fact this game is free for people to play , I can see that the dev really puts in hard work in the dialogue, for a visual novel, I think the dev should be more appreciated, and consider that the game aren’t paid to get nor with paid content, the game should at least deserves a better praise .
I didn’t get all the endings right now but I think I would like to try more in the game
I wouldn’t say the game is quite the best or underrated, I mean visual novel don’t really attract many people, but it’s good on its own, and I do hope the dev will continue updating this game.
Man I just posted my opinion as a guy who just found a game not long ago, I don't know nothing about the updating process of the dev, I just think that, the game is good on it's own
Since you dont know, we all hate the creator bc while yes you can play for free, you can also give them money and support on the patreon where they promised new content and havent given ANY in 4 years. In that 4 year span the creator keeps giving excuses as to why there isnt any progress even though people are paying them to provide the content. I feel sad for anyone who gave them money thinking that it would help speed the process up and help a good game to be created. So you can wait all you like, there is almost definitely not gonna be an update to this game, unless if maybe everyone stops giving patreon money and they realize they need to work to get something.
Or dumb and dumber. And speaking of dumb and dumber, they haven't showed up yet to drool and fawn over Stupidbits latest dump of a post after being promised and hyped up for it all month, or any number of months for the last 48 months. 😁
Hopefully nobody bothers to read him all the dumb garbage he's been posting every month into those hearing aids. I don't think even hearing aids are designed to withstand the frequency of reverberating horse manure.
This just sits him up for another year long charade of excuses as each month we'll be up to date on the varying levels of blindness as he goes through varying levels of blindness, and then what glasses he wears and what kind of dog he gets, or what kind of cane he gets, and then whatever other health problem he gets once he's exhausted those excuses.
And when his new blind eye seeing dog eats his computer again, maybe he will stick his cane up his ass and get on Patreon to tell the world about his experience.
This is another update post, a bit late as always, but finally here nonetheless. Another deadline missed, so at this point I feel I should share some news that I have mostly kept under wraps until now, although I'm sure some people might have already made some guesses. I'm a pretty private person, so sharing things from my own personal life always feels a bit clumsy. I tried to delay writing this post as long as possible, hoping that things would settle on their own at the last minute, but of course that didn't happen. So, straight to the point. I have been struggling with my eyesight for a while now. At first, I just chalked it up as normal eye strain as I mostly work with computers all day. Some eye exercises every now and then with some rest during weekends usually helped. Until they didn't. After some eye pain episodes at work, my doctor diagnosed some kind of ocular hypertension. Nothing too serious yet, eye drops, rest and limiting screen time seemed to help. Still, writing or reading anything longer than a few paragraphs was difficult for a while, unless I maxed out the font size. The more severe issues started last spring and I have tried to keep this secret until now. Even back then, Offcuts 0.4 was mostly ready, just missing some finishing touches, so I thought a delay of a few months probably wouldn't hurt much. Rinse and repeat a few times after that as the situation didn't improve much. Things started to look better again a few months ago and I was finally planning to actually release Offcuts 0.4, until another eye pain episode last November sent me to a specialist eye doctor, who suspected glaucoma. Glaucoma can be a pretty severe eye disease that can eventually make you blind if left untreated. Needless to say, the potential diagnosis was and is a shock to me, especially as I'm not even that old yet. Fortunately, the diagnosis is not certain yet and it can often take a long time (even years) to confirm as it's not a cut-and-dry diagnosis. There is still a good chance this is something else and much more harmless. Meanwhile, there are also some good treatment and preventive care options available, some of which I'm already using. This has been another messy and stressful year for me, trying to juggle my job and hobbies while trying to manage this health issue. Still, finally writing this post and putting things out in the open feels like a big relief. Repeatedly trying to guess and miss any deadlines and other predictions felt awful and I don't blame anyone who has felt frustrated, but at least now you know the reason. So, what about Offcuts 0.4? Fortunately, it has been mostly ready for a long time now, I just haven't managed to write (or read) much since last spring. I have wanted to give the script a final proofreading pass for a while now, but reading a script of over 50k words in my current state is pretty rough. Still, even in the worst case I can eventually wrangle 0.4 together somehow, eyes closed if needed. However, I currently try to prioritize my day job as I'm worried about how my condition might affect my work in the future in case the worst scenario happens. I have no plans of giving up yet, but the next few months and doctor visits will be important to see where I'm heading (pun intended, I guess). Still, I have no plans to stop doing this little hobby unless I absolutely have to. I'm optimistic and I'll try to use my winter vacation to recover as much as possible, so expect a next Patreon post at some point in January. I'll see you in the next update. (Pun intended again, funny how many of our language idioms have something to do with sight.) Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone despite the bad news! And as always, I'm not going to take any Patreon payments until 0.4 is out (I'll temporarily suspend my Patreon at the end of each month until then).
Actually, bashing people with nail bats is a healthy attitude. 👎 I have become selective in pursuit of things that make life easier and less stressful. Soooo, waking up beats not anyday. I have nothing to support in this Stencilbits dev who continually yields nothing of value. Suppose waking up in a padded room to another meaningless Stencilbits post might make me want to bash people with nail bats also.
I know everyone is mad at you right now for not updating the game but can you pleased do it I love this game and I want to see the other girls love routes
I guess Stencilbits hasn't gotten motivated enough to clamber up and roll off the couch over to his desktop and update the masses on all things Stencilbits. He promised us an update on the 17th, and he'd never lie. 😂
Actually curious as to what his lame excuse is going to be this time. I've got a few brain cells to spare.
Unlocked Monthly Update: Rodeo Rider Edition Another month and another summer is soon past us, which means it's time for the tried and true monthly update! Refreshed from my summer vacation, I finished some lingering issues, both at work and home. More importantly to you, I also drafted some plans for the future. As mentioned in previous updates, Offucts 0.4 has been pretty much ready for a while now, and currently I'm just angling for a good opportunity to get back in the saddle and start producing more content. Hopefully, with a more consistent release speed. Starting and immediately stopping again would be pretty disappointing at this point. As for the final destination, expect a new Patreon update and more news around September 17th, so a few weeks from now. New and old plans revealed, planning my future timetable, and maybe even the final release date for 0.4. Plus, whatever else will be relevant, including perhaps some art dumping from the dark corners of my hard drive. So, until then! As always, I'm not going to take any Patreon payments until 0.4 is out (I'll temporarily suspend my Patreon at the end of each month until then). The rest of the post is mostly copied from my previous updates for those who are new or want to be reminded of what will be coming next. See you in the next post, thanks for your support and patience!
Whatever you do Stencilbits, you don't want to disappoint anyone even though you haven't released a single update in over 4 years. I think that ship done sailed.
Both at work and at home, wait... you mean Stencilbits actually has work? And a job??? Does he ever show up for it? Or does he just get hired and sit at home for years and pretend to be at work.
Well, if the work ethic he has shown us these past 4 years is any indication, he mostly just posts about it on Patreon.
If you sort through the easter basket of excuses and other garbagy junk he plasters on the patreon, there's more than one post where he talks about a new job so apparently not only can he not be bothered to finish his games, he can't be bothered to hold a job either.
But don't worry. Ole Stencilbits will ride in next month, or in a few weeks actually, to tell us all about how hard at work he's been and how it's coming out next month after he goes on another bug hunt, goes on another vacation, goes to another job, goes to hell, etc.
Are you guys pumped and excited it's the end of the month and Stencilbits will be digging up the corpse of this game to dance it around and pretend it's coming out again next month.
Sad thing is there are two people waiting on it. One has been posting on the Patreon "can't wait" for the last two years at least, every month that Stencilbits goes to the computer to pretend he is a dev.
Meh. I've got no interest in this anymore. It's an endless trollfest on the trollercoaster. Game is dead and done. Those are the facts. Last update was what... almost 4 fucking years ago? Then we've had all this monthly bullshit since. Anybody with a functioning brain would know even at that pace if just one relevant render was made for each of those months, there'd be a finished product here. Most of the game is ragdolls simply copy pasted over pre-rendered backgrounds, and about as zero effort as you can fucking get. The fact that he claims to have rebuilt the game in godot is also rather telling, because godot is a bug riddled piece of trash, so apparently godot and this game deserve each other. It will give Stencilbits plenty of bugs to hunt down and jerk off too for many months to come.
He is sitting there posting more worthless garbage to Patreon while fapping to the possibilities and future prospects of actually pushing the button to his game everybody laughs at now provided he actually still had one in progress that was progressing and not under pretense?
Sounds about like any other convoluted pile of shit we'd see at the end of the month.
Offcuts 0.4 is pretty much done and has been for a while, now I'm just trying to clean up my calendar a bit so I can immediately get back to writing and art production once I hit that release button.
The latest chapter of the Stencilbits comic book series, sans the copy paste garbage.
Monthly Update: Treasure Chest Edition
May is almost ending, which means it's time for the tried and true monthly update! This one is a short one, but full of youthful hope and dreams with some moderate dread. Offcuts 0.4 is pretty much done and has been for a while, now I'm just trying to clean up my calendar a bit so I can immediately get back to writing and art production once I hit that release button. Programming and open-source related side projects tend to expand to fill all your free time if you are not careful, and I'll have to disengage myself from some to get enough free time again to work on Offcuts. Although almost everyone is a volunteer in many open-source projects, it's always a bit shame when people leave and move on. I never liked doing that either, but sometimes you must redo your priorities. But enough of that. Once I figure out how to re-organize my not-so-free time, it's time for Offcuts 0.4. There's plenty of accumulated art and news after that, including cool new tech stuff I have occasionally been hinting at. And as always, I'm not going to take any Patreon payments until 0.4 is out (I'll temporarily suspend my Patreon at the end of each month until then). The rest of the post is mostly copied from my previous updates for those who are new or want to be reminded of what will be coming next. See you in the next post, thanks for your support and patience!
Yes, we know. Ole Stencilbits only tells us every month for years and years how 0.4 is just a button away from being released even though he never does and parrots the same thing again next month.
Waiting on the resident trolls from the Stencilbits trollfens to come and have an aneurysm over the latest monthly post. Spam the page and tell everybody how much you hate it but yet you keep coming back to it every single month.
Considering Stencilbits is unimaginative and quite lame with the CTRL+V and copy paste from one month to the next for the last 40 something months, my hypothesis is we'll see last month's excuse again.
Welp. Seems more people are only interested in insulting each other once again rather than discussing the game. Posters here are very biased and I have mine as well.
Since this game is becoming more of an extinct dinosaur every year, soooooo, status quo as best case?
Maybe it's time to quit being an idiot every month, month after month, acting like anyone is doing anything with something nobody has even looked at since 2019.
It's just as bad as the same two idiots on Patreon who "can't wait" for the release despite having posted the same can't wait BS for two years straight.
Personally, I don't care about Stencilbits stupid posts he puts up for the whole same two people that even actually bother to read his worthless garbage.
It says the same thing every month. Almost ready or nothing holding it back. Every month. Since 2019. I'm pretty sure I'm not missing anything.
Looking forward to hearing the next laughing stock of a monthly post and prime example of why script kiddies should stay off the internet.
How did Stencilbits go from not doing shit with Offcuts for 3 or 4 years to having anything to do with Godot in less than 2 months?
I wonder what he is going to pick up this month to excuse himself with? Maybe he started working for NASA or some shit looking for extraterrestrial planets. That ought to keep him busy well into the foreseeable future.
I can just imagine ole Stencilbits floating around in outer space, pimping out his excuses to all the intelligent life until they became unintelligent from being dumbed down so much.
Hopefully these bootlicking shills don't stink up the comments again with all the nonsense about how much this game is being worked on but hasn't been touched since 2019.
Stencilbits already sat himself up going forward, he's been suposedly working on Godot so he has plenty of fresh excuses when he comes back with being in over his head and can't get anything to work the way he wants, so he goes back to the drawing board to test and retest everything again for 900 million more updates.

Wow. What a simp.
Wow what a beta
How's that faith in the dev holding up, fast forward 6 months?

Yes, because we should always appreciate a dev who does nothing but make excuses for years and years.
You literally just joined yesterday to post that leg humping rabble. Go be a shill somewhere else.
Man I just posted my opinion as a guy who just found a game not long ago, I don't know nothing about the updating process of the dev, I just think that, the game is good on it's own

That sound very reasonable, thanks for your detailed explanation
It's cute you think people should support this garbage dev who last touched this game in 2019.
More like Charlie Brown than Ray Charles.
Or dumb and dumber. And speaking of dumb and dumber, they haven't showed up yet to drool and fawn over Stupidbits latest dump of a post after being promised and hyped up for it all month, or any number of months for the last 48 months. 😁
Dude will be going deaf next, and spend another year talking about his hearing aid and all the problems he had with it.
Hopefully nobody bothers to read him all the dumb garbage he's been posting every month into those hearing aids. I don't think even hearing aids are designed to withstand the frequency of reverberating horse manure.
Guess all those years of posting retina cancer month after month finally caught up with this guy.
I would normally inclined to show sympathy, but my response after reading his latest cool story is...
OK 👌
This just sits him up for another year long charade of excuses as each month we'll be up to date on the varying levels of blindness as he goes through varying levels of blindness, and then what glasses he wears and what kind of dog he gets, or what kind of cane he gets, and then whatever other health problem he gets once he's exhausted those excuses.

Stencilbits latest diagnosis... Conjunctive Retarditis.
Prognosis... Continuation of last years BS.
Surprise, surprise, surprise!
Another bullshit ass excuse. Stencilbits lied again and there never was going to be an update! 😁😁😁
Get a load of this Ray Charles shit.
Monthly update Ray Charles edition.

Glaucoma can be a pretty severe eye disease that can eventually make you blind if left untreated. This has been another messy and stressful year for me, trying to juggle my job and hobbies while trying to manage this health issue. How odd for somebody who was not even able to read a paragraph to be able to come up with and type out this clown shoe post.
I SEE what you did there!
Wow! This page and game still a thing?
Not really. More of a years long running joke.
Totally hyped up for that promised November release, here going into December.
Fuck you, Stencilbits lovers. All you dumbass Stencilbit cucks should be hung by the balls and beat with a bat.
Nobody here is a Stencilbit lover.
If anything, people only come here to gloat at this worthless dev.
I agree, and I recommend the use of rusty nails stuck to the bat.
I know everyone is mad at you right now for not updating the game but can you pleased do it I love this game and I want to see the other girls love routes
As if Stencilbits cares. Just sign up for the Patreon and stick around for 4 years. Maybe you'll get a meaningful update out of it.
The last update was around 2018, I think it's safe to say nobody gives a shit about it anymore.
Man...
Dead page.
It's already proven anyone still supporting this joke of a dev is clinically retarded.
Well, here comes Stencilbits with his dead game making his usual end of the month rounds, right on schedule for the past 4 years.
And who'd of guessed? He wants us to wait another 2-3 weeks for another blockbuster of an update.
But I'm sure all the patrons who have stayed signed for 4 years waiting on this garbage all collectively fell out of their seats.

Every month Stencilbits pumps the carcass of this game with fresh embalming fluid.
Time to bury this dead game.
4 years without an update is crazy
Nobody's waiting on it anymore.
Stencilbits could drop a release tomorrow and I doubt anyone would even notice or care.
Sad thing is there are two people waiting on it. One has been posting on the Patreon "can't wait" for the last two years at least, every month that Stencilbits goes to the computer to pretend he is a dev.

When you are living on government cheese, taking 4 years to get off the couch and do anything is the work ethic you end up with.
Welp. This place now a ghost town. Perhaps all have moved on?
Did we miss anything besides another big nothing for last month?
Oh lookie. Stencilbits posted another big nothing for this month.
Next month's big nothing be like...
Wonder what Stencilbits will lie about this month? I'm sure he keeps an emergency stash of excuses, so he never runs low. Even after 4 years.
Humm.... Let's see.
He is sitting there posting more worthless garbage to Patreon while fapping to the possibilities and future prospects of actually pushing the button to his game everybody laughs at now provided he actually still had one in progress that was progressing and not under pretense?

I notice there is less and less enthusiasm regarding these updates.
The latest and greatest update of all time just dropped on the patreon. Like an atom bomb. This update completely blew me away.
0.4 is mostly done and has been done for a while. Stencilbits is preparing to hit the release button right now this very moment.
😀🔫
Yes, we know. Ole Stencilbits only tells us every month for years and years how 0.4 is just a button away from being released even though he never does and parrots the same thing again next month.
The May Monthly Update
"Once upon a time edition"
Once upon a time, there was a game called Offcuts.
Then the dev ruined it.
The end.
Sad thing is, this isn't far from the truth. Spot on, actually.
Waiting on the resident trolls from the Stencilbits trollfens to come and have an aneurysm over the latest monthly post. Spam the page and tell everybody how much you hate it but yet you keep coming back to it every single month.
Don't have any dragons, but it has plenty of trolls. A whole page full, to be exact.
Don't be so hard on yourself and gmichael.
WOW! Just when you thought this had finally died down, it grows legs and returns with a vengeance... guess I'll need more popcorn.
Almost time for another Stenciltastic monthly update full of procrastination and excuses even though the game has been "almost done" for over 2 years.
What excuses does Stencilbits have in store for the masses this month?
Considering Stencilbits is unimaginative and quite lame with the CTRL+V and copy paste from one month to the next for the last 40 something months, my hypothesis is we'll see last month's excuse again.
Stencilbits will have a post up in about a week explaining why you're wrong and it's just around the corner.
Will it be the same one we saw last month? Wouldn't wanna miss that.
I guess Stencilbits figures he is already screwing everybody so why make it better?
It'll be the same one we have seen for the past 37 months.
What a nice comment section (sarcasm)
You can always go to Patreon and make believe you are getting an update next month.
and the update never comes out,not a surprise.
But, but, but, but, it has been ready since 2021 and is coming next month. Stencilbits says so, and Stencilbits would never lie.
Hence the nice comments.
Came for the babes, stayed for the comments.
Except dinosaurs knew when it was time to go extinct. They stopped being dinosaurs and started being relics of the past.
The dinosaurs were smart. Stencilbits and all his monthly updates? Not so much.
The dinosaurs are still evolving at a pace faster than this game.
Dinosaurs are extinct.
And so is this game, these comments now a museum to this fossil of a game.
Dinosaurs have gone extinct and the same can be said about this game.
No real Earth shattering news there.
The latest post is up. Has been up for a couple of days. Surprised nobody noticed.
My dude. I'm sure everybody noticed.
Nobody cared.
What a rag of a comment area.
Hey, look who's back. I guess ole Stencilbits recently had a bowel movement.
You can always tell when these turds end up in the comments.
Flush twice, it's a long way to the sewer.
More like had diarrhea.
Hopefully these bootlicking shills don't stink up the comments again with all the nonsense about how much this game is being worked on but hasn't been touched since 2019.
What's the point of even saying anything?
Anyone who comes here and says anything different will just get dogpiled.
Anyone that comes here and acts like the game is still actually being developed when it hasn't been touched since 2019 deserves to be double dogpiled.
Stencilbits already sat himself up going forward, he's been suposedly working on Godot so he has plenty of fresh excuses when he comes back with being in over his head and can't get anything to work the way he wants, so he goes back to the drawing board to test and retest everything again for 900 million more updates.
And this is why most people will never look at this game again.
